Dallewal stated that the government should not use the election code as an excuse to postpone decisions, emphasizing the farmers’ commitment to staying until their demands are met. He highlighted key issues, including a guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP), debt relief, implementation of the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations, pension for farm workers, withdrawal of police cases, and relief for victims of the Lakhimpuri Khiri violence. Dallewal urged the government to reinstate the Land Acquisition Act of 2013.

As the meeting approaches, uncertainty looms over whether the farmers will migrate to Delhi or return home based on the government’s response. Dallewal stressed the importance of resolving these issues to alleviate the hardships faced by the farming community.
