Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a meeting of the Sri Somnath Trust in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The trust is responsible for managing the Sri Somnath Temple, one of India’s most revered religious sites, and PM Modi serves as its president.
According to a press note issued by the Press Information Bureau (PIB), PM Modi focused on improving facilities and enhancing the experience for pilgrims visiting the temple. The Prime Minister later shared a post on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), expressing his commitment to providing a better experience for all visitors.
During the meeting, discussions revolved around ways to further develop infrastructure and services at the temple, ensuring a smooth and fulfilling pilgrimage for devotees. Former Gujarat official PK Laheri and businessman Harshvardhan Navtya also participated in the meeting, contributing their insights and expertise.
The Somnath Temple is not only a religious landmark but also a symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage. The trust’s efforts under PM Modi’s leadership aim to preserve the temple’s significance while modernizing facilities for the benefit of millions of visitors each year.
