In a major political development, Raghav Chadha has announced that he is leaving the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Speaking at a press conference in Delhi, he claimed that he, along with more than two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha members, is set to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Chadha stated that the decision was taken after careful consideration and in accordance with constitutional provisions. He said that all necessary documents, including signed letters from supporting MPs, have already been submitted to the Rajya Sabha Chairman.

According to Chadha, several prominent leaders are joining him in this move. These include Swati Maliwal, Harbhajan Singh, Sandeep Pathak, Ashok Mittal, Vikramjit Singh Sahney, and Rajinder Gupta.
Explaining his decision, Chadha said that he had dedicated 15 years to AAP but felt that the party had drifted away from its original principles. He added that the party is no longer working in the interest of the country but is focused on personal gains. “I felt like I was the right person in the wrong party,” he said, announcing his separation from AAP and his intention to reconnect with the people.
Meanwhile, AAP leader Sanjay Singh strongly reacted to these claims. In a separate press conference, he accused the BJP of trying to break AAP by luring its MPs. He warned that the people of Punjab would not forgive such actions.
This development could have a significant impact on national politics, especially in the Rajya Sabha, if the claims made by Chadha turn out to be accurate.
