Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Punjab soon. The information was shared by Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. However, the exact date of the visit has not been announced yet. During his visit, the Prime Minister is likely to inaugurate several development and infrastructure projects in the state. Reports also suggest that he will launch an important railway project to improve connectivity and support Punjab’s development.

Earlier this year, in February, Prime Minister Modi visited Punjab on the occasion of the 649th birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji. During that visit, he officially announced the renaming of Adampur Airport as “Sri Guru Ravidas Ji Airport, Adampur” and inaugurated the new terminal building at Halwara Airport.
Political experts believe that the upcoming visit is important not only for development but also from a political point of view. It is expected to play a key role as political parties begin preparing for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.
