In a horrifying incident that has left a village in disbelief, a man identified as Kalyugi’s son, Amritpal, allegedly brutally murdered his own mother, sister-in-law, and two-and-a-half-year-old nephew using sharp weapons in Kandowali village, under Tehsil Ajnala. The shocking crime has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting an investigation by local authorities.
Initial reports suggest that Amritpal harbored resentment towards his brother and family, fueled by a belief that he would be deprived of property inheritance due to the lack of a male heir in his own household. However, villagers also revealed that Amritpal was grappling with drug addiction, shedding light on potential underlying factors contributing to the tragedy.
After committing the gruesome murders, Amritpal reportedly surrendered himself at the local police station, leaving the blood-stained bodies behind at home. The police promptly arrived at the scene, securing the bodies and initiating a thorough investigation into the chilling incident. The victims have been identified as Amritpal’s mother, Manbir Kaur, sister-in-law Avneet Kaur, and nephew Samarth.
Family members disclosed that Amritpal’s frustrations stemmed from his inability to provide the same opportunities for his daughters as his brother’s son, who attended a prestigious school. His wife added that despite her efforts to care for their daughters, Amritpal’s dissatisfaction and conflicts persisted, exacerbating tensions within the household.
As the community grapples with the aftermath of this senseless act of violence, questions arise about the underlying societal issues contributing to such tragedies, including drug abuse and gender-based expectations. The tragic loss of innocent lives serves as a grim reminder of the urgent need for support and intervention to prevent such incidents in the future.
