Following an incident where objectionable comments against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi were allegedly posted from the hacked ‘X’ account of Gautambudh Nagar District Officer Manish Kumar Verma, hundreds of Congress workers, led by District President of Congress Kisan Morcha Gautam Awana, gathered at the Surajpur District Collectorate to protest.
Awana claimed that the District Officer’s ‘X’ account had made disrespectful remarks about Rahul Gandhi. In response to the allegations, Sunil Kumar Kanojia, Assistant Director (Information) of Gautam Budh Nagar, confirmed the hacking incident. A case has been registered, and a special investigative team has been formed to look into the matter.
The protestors demanded strict action against those responsible for the hack and the offensive comments. The local police assured the public that the matter was being taken seriously and would be thoroughly investigated.
