The sacrifice of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji, who is addressed as ‘Hind Di Chadar’ can never be forgotten. He gave his sacrifice keeping religion, human principles and ideals as the main. He was born on April 1621 in Amritsar Sahib from his mother’s Nanki g womb at the house of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib. Guru Teg Bahadur ji used to chant God’s name in solitude from the beginning. It is said that once he fought with his father Sri Guru HarGobind Sahib ji at Kartarpur against the Mughals so bravely that HarGobind Sahib ji gave him the name Teg Bahadur.

He got married on February 1632 to Mata Guzriji . After Guru Hargobind Sahib took the torch, Guru Teg Bahadur Ji took Mata Nanki Ji and his wife Mata Gujri Ji and went to live in Baba Bakale. Then when Guru Harkrishna Sahib mentioned Baba Bakala before lighting the torch, where Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib lived. Then Baba went to Bakala to look for the ninth king. He was discovered by Makhan Shah Lubana, then the words of Makhan Shah Lubana were: Guru Ladho Ray. Thus the ninth Patshahji was found and he was enthroned as the ninth Guru.

He traveled to Punjab, Assam, Dhaka and Bihar to preach religion and then stayed at Patna Sahib in Bihar for a long time. Sri Guru Gobind Singh was born here. Aurangzeb, who was considered the most cruel ruler of that time, used to oppress the Hindus a lot. Persecuted by his oppression, Kashmiri Pandits came to Guru Teg Bahadur Ji and asked him to save their religion. At that time Guru Gobind Singh was about six or seven years old .

After this he left for Dili with some of his Sikh companions. Aurangzeb arrested Guru Sahib and his companions and martyred them in different ways, but could not scare Guru Teg Bahadur ji. After this, at the request of Aurangzeb, he was martyred in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk. After this, Bhai Jaita ji reached Sri Anandpur Sahib with the holy body of Guru ji and Lakhi Shah Vanjara took the holy body of Guru Sahib to his house and cremated his house by setting fire to his house. In this way, the sacrifice of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji can never be forgotten.
